- Aphrodisiac: alleviate impotency, frigidity, erectile dysfunctions, and loss of libido

Solders, athletes, and nobles would be honored with its leaves. Ancient Egyptians used Myrtle for sore throats and coughs, it was considered relatively mid and suitable for children.
